The most important and exciting technology breakthroughs in this decade are happening in the field of Artificial Intelligence! The rise of AI is bringing fundamental changes to every aspect of society, such as transportation, manufacturing, healthcare, education, communication, national security and many more… Nowadays, AI technologies are not only for technology companies, but also it is bringing benefits to almost any companies in many dimensions – including increased productivity, sound decision making, and effective marketing.

AI has become a must know concept for industry leaders. In order to stay relevant and competitive in the current technology-driven economy, industry leaders and all levels of management should be prepared to embrace AI and understand its benefits to their business.

In this talk we will give a quick introduction to Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Deep Learning. We will discuss current progress of AI with real-world AI-driven application examples. We will discuss how the business functions of your organization can benefit from AI. Finally, we will discuss AI strategies: AI-driven product development, successful management of AI application projects, planning and building an internal AI team for your company.

This talk is applicable to leaders and executives who are interested in exploring the possibilities of AI integration into their businesses. It also applies to managers who will be involved with AI-driven projects and AI teams. Professionals who are looking for improving their career opportunities by learning AI techniques and strategies also may find this talk useful.

    • Parking / Access Instructions: ATX is on the corner of Carroll Canyon Road and Rehco Road. Enter the parking lot at the back (south) side of the building off Rehco Road. Park in the large lot, which is shared with Rough Draft & others. Walk around the ATX building on the east side (next to Rehco Road) to the main entrance, which faces Carroll Canyon Road.

About the Speaker

Dr. Som Shahapurkar currently heads AI products at FICO. Som has built and operationalized AI, machine learning and analytics for all his career. The majority at Intel, in robotics, manufacturing, communications, Internet of Things (IoT), self-driven cars and later at Verizon in telematics. Som also launched a startup in electrical energy demand-response and management. Som holds an MS in Electrical Engineering and a Ph.D. in Computer Science with two AI patents to his credit. His first AI patent is cited by 11 google patents and second by Nest labs. He is a certified Lean Six Sigma black belt and an agile coach. He loves to teach, likes to bicycle for charitable causes, and travel with his wife and daughter. You can find him on LinkedIn here!
