Bernardo Winery Tour & Lunch Outreach Event

On Sunday, March 13, a distinguished alumni group from EPSE and LAMP gathered for a gala affair at the Bernardo Winery in Rancho Bernardo. It is the oldest surviving winery in San Diego County and it provided a perfect setting for this group to renew acquaintances and enjoy each other’s company. 2010 EPSE Class Final Teambuilding Exercise

Module at High Ropes The EPSE Module 3 teambuilding exercises were held on a frigid day in March at Camp Stevens in Julian.  The high rope courses included the infamous “Depends pole” which overlooked the 256 acres of beautiful mountain wilderness of the camp.  The temperature was 42 degrees (brrr!) which required that everyone wear gloves and hats, a definite disadvantage on the ropes and pole.   …

“Exploring Contemporary Management Challenges” addressed the subject of retaining and engaging key talent. The assignment was to gather information from interviews, surveys and literature and to look for common themes in the collected data. This year’s EPSE class started their activities on September 14th at the Rosa Sattoria Avocado Ranch in Rainbow. The facilitator was Jim Snell who led them through the cable wire walk, the giant square, commitment bridge, and the wall. 2010 Graduation Festivities

Graduation 2010 was held at the Hyatt Regency La Jolla at Aventine on May 26th. Richard Gary represented the EPSE students as class speaker; and David Chiu was the LAMP class speaker. The keynote speaker was Stanley Hopper, Chief Engineer at BAE Systems, and EPSE graduate of 2000.
