On Sunday, March 13, a distinguished alumni group from EPSE and LAMP gathered for a gala affair at the Bernardo Winery in Rancho Bernardo. It is the oldest surviving winery in San Diego County and it provided a perfect setting for this group to renew acquaintances and enjoy each other’s company. The 25 minute tour included a guide through the winemaking process, some wine tasting knowledge, a family history of the owners, and a nice Italian lunch in the Barrel Room where the wine tasting continued.
Those who stayed on into the afternoon were entertained by Chini & Camberos, a Latin jazz guitar duo, who played outside on the patio of the tasting room. Those in attendance were Amy and Ed Van Liew, Shannon and Leif Blensley, Cindy Jarom and Darren Moe, Natasha and Andy Balac, Lizie Hernandez and Armando Garcia, Maria Ambriz and Jose Luis Ramos, Mehul Merchant, Muthu Ramaswamy, and Jan and Gary De Spain.
